A favorite of mine. Medical student spends the summer caring for her disabled grandmother, who is a mean lady who terrified her children and grandchildren throughout their lives. Spooky things happen in the old house. The characters are so real, you feel you know them. Great book.

This is a great book to be reading for summer read, or a to curl up on the couch in winter with and let yourself get lost in the story. While at time you might feel it is predictable, there are enough twist and turns to make it keep you interested.
