A young girl on the verge of becoming a woman - generous to those who didn't have the material things she did - murdered by people she knew and trusted. This is a horrific account of a young woman's abduction for ransom that went wrong that lead to her brutal death. Close to her loving father, her abduction was devastating and he made the search for her a personal priority. With the help of her friends, who had become close to her dad, the search took a bitter turn when she was found murdered. Worse for her father was when one extremely "helpful" friend became a suspect.

Admittedly, I am giving this book a slightly higher rating than I first wanted to do, but then again, it took place where I once lived! :D Those OUTSIDE of Woodhaven, Queens can make this true crime book a 6 -- not a bad read from a decent author.

Well written terribly sad book about a young girl who trusted all the wrong people and payed with a horrific death. This book really brings in the saying no good deed goes unpunished.

Couldn't get into it, guess I'm not a true crime fan after all!
