I read this book many years ago, long before the movie was made. It's a disturbing, well written account of one woman's solution to a horribly abusive husband. She saw no other way out other than to kill him before he killed her. Definitely a story that will stay with you.

This book is a horrifyingly true story of Francine Hughes and the living hell she went through during and after her marriage to Mickey Hughes who was a sadistic wife beater. The outcome of the trial will make you want to jump up and cheer -- it's an example of good overcoming evil!

Gripping true story of a woman, brutalized by her husband, who was forced to take the law into her own hands. Later made into a movie starring Farrah Fawcett

Very exciting. For anyone who may be experiencing or know someone who is experiencing physical or emotional abuse by a spouse. Just as interesting for someone is may not be. True story of a lady from Dansville, MI
