The best part of this book is that it calls for items available in most homes; therefore, there isn't a significant expense involved in doing these things. The games, songs, and activities are divided into six categories, so the parent can determine what they want to emphasize that day.

Kids learn by watching others, but it doesn't take long for the child to work independently. The benefit is that the parent is modeling behavior and then allowing the child to work at his own pace. The authors emphasize that the child should do the activity how he wants. There is no time limit or perfection requirement. This is what kids need.
