Mel tries to uncover the murder of her mothers new date. (a schemeing scumbag with a long list of folks who werent sad to see him go). Meanwhile Mel is caught in the middle of a love triangle of Tate, Angie, and Roach (Angies new rockstar boyfriend).

With Valentines day approaching, Mel and the gang have a lot on their plates at Fairy Tale Cupcakes.

The plot was fun and fast paced with a classic cast of characters.

Mel's mother goes on a date for the first time in 35 years and the guy ends up dead. Mel, Angie and Tate try to clear her name. Angie gets involved with a rock star, Joe and Mel are just trudging along in their relationship and Tate has a revelation. Good, quick read. 4 stars.

Angie falls for a rock star named Roach, much to the chagrin of Tate, who now realizes and acknowledges (to himself) his feelings for her.....this is secondary to the fact, that after her first date in 35 yrs dies , Mel's mom is the prime suspect in her date's murder. A light, quick, enjoyable read.

This book was entertaining.
