Anyone else thinking this function doesn't  work so well for the person posting WL books?

I am not sure why it is not.  The book moves right along to the next wisher.  No different for the poster, than when the order is declined.

What's the matter with it?  I haven't posted a Wish List book in a while.

I personally like the feature. Sometimes when you have several books from a series on your WL, one that is a few ahead of the one you need pops up faster, while you may still be #15 for the one you need to read first. I like that I can keep that one on hold at #1 while I wait for the one I need without losing my place in line or filling up my shelves with books I'm not going to be reading for a while. I like that I can let someone else in line who may be needing that one have it instead of being forced to get it or lose my place and have it sitting on my bookshelf when someone else could be enjoying it.

And it passes right on to the next person, so it's not like it'll sit languishing on your bookshelf. I'd rather have it go to someone who's going to read it and enjoy it than have it sit collecting dust on a shelf. More people will probably get to read it that way, not less. It's a good feature.

The only time it wouldn't be beneficial for the poster is if they were trying to send a bunch of books to the same person and the person they posted to Not Now'd some of them. I've always checked with someone before I do that anyway, I don't want to use up someone's credits they might have planned to spend on something else.

I like the option.  Once in awhile I start getting low on credits & if it's a book I think I'll get offered again before too much longer, I sometimes use the "not now" button.

Like Melanie said, the main time it would be an issue is when you're posting a number of WL books to the same person.  But if I'm going to send more than 2 to someone, I tend to message them first just in case they don't have the credits and/or don't want that many offered to them at once.

Oh!  I get it now.

I like it too.  A while back, I had several wish list books come available back to back, which drained my credits to next to nothin'.  I was really relieved to be able to put the few other wish list titles I was number one for on hold 'til I could gather up some more credits or I would have just had to turn them down when they were offered and lose my place.
