anyone thought about this since it is a new feature? I have 8 books en route or accepted (includes 5 for daughter's summer reading list for HS--yeah, didn't have to spend a dime!!) and have rec'd another half a dozen in past week so when I got 2 WL offers yesterday I just clicked "not now" as I have 200 TBR books! But transaction archive shows them as "cancelled" orders. Is this going to hurt me??? |

I don't think the Team will penalize a member for using a feature they implemented themselves. If they ever have to look into your account for whatever reason, I'm sure they'll be able to distiguish between the 'not nows' and books you just cancelled. |

That's kind of what I thought, but in the "details" I can see in the transaction archive it doesn't show that I used "not now" option, I cancelled request, or sender cancelled. |

I'd send info back to the team. Before when I clicked "not now" it put that book on hold in my wish list.

Yes, the book stays on your wishlist and is placed on 'hold' (red highlight). But in your transaction archive it is noted as 'not accepted by requester'. I didn't think much of it...as already stated, TPTB initiated this new option so I doubt it counts against me. |

I sincerely dout that cancelled books would hurt your account, in any case. Why would they? I try to be courteous to other members and only order books that I want to receive, or have on my WL ones that I will want to accept .... but sometimes due to whatever circumstances, I cancel an order that has not had the label printed yet. Or, I reject a WL book offer. While I don't make a practice of it, it's certainly happened more than once. I am absolutely positive that it does not hurt my account the least little bit. No problem I can see with canceling a book that's offered to you. A problem arises when someone posts his first books and gets the 2 free introductory credits, gets requests, and clicks he they can't sent most or all of the books.

Perhaps having it on the TA is how the system remembers that you checked "not now" once--because I think it can only be used once per book. At least that was my understanding...you can postpone it by clicking "not now" once which puts it on hold with no loss of place in line, but if you then put it back on active WL status and it comes up again, you either have to accept or decline which would totally cancel/remove it from the WL. I've never used that option so not sure. Cheryl |

The Transaction Archive is best left alone unless you need to find a transaction for a specific purpose. Trying to decifer what is what in there will drive a person crazy and often gets members in trouble when they start clicking around in there. As long as the book went back to your Wish List properly you shouldn't have any problems. You may not be able to see what happened, but the site admin can. |

When you clicked 'not now', it became a canceled transacton and should be on the TA as such. The book is still on your WL. If it is not, then I would contact TPTB. |
