I had Urban Shaman on my shelf for months, and then finally picked it up... and couldn't put it down. It's a great read, very fast pace and funny. It reminds me a lot of the Dresden books, and I found it fitting that Butcher reviewed it. I just finished Thunderbird Falls, which wasn't paced as well (and the back jacket gives away too much of the story!!!), but also very good. I just wish-listed Coyote Dreams, and I'm looking forward to it! The next one coming out in May, 2009 is called Cauldron Borne, but it's not in the pbs system yet. :( If you like a smart-ass, magical heroine who is as flawed as they come, check out the books! I read Urban Shaman a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. I have Thunderbird Falls, Coyote Dreams and Heart of Stone in my tbr pile. I really loved the heroine in the first series.   She is great!  I hope the Heart of Stone trilogy is just as good.

Let's see.  Loved Urban Shaman, thought Thunderbird Falls was good but not as good as US.  Still have Coyote Dreams and Heart of Stone in my tbr pile.  Although Heart of Stone is actually the first in The Negotiator series so I suppose I'm not too far behind.  lol

She's one of my favorites. I try to pick up her books as soon as they come out. She's got a new one releasing this week that starts another series. It's called The Queen's Bastard. The second book in the Negotiator trilogy just came out (House of Cards) the first of March. Also, there's a novella from the Walker Papers in the Winter Moon anthology from Luna.

I love C.E. Murphy. I'm currently the second in the Negotiator series, House of Cards. Very good.
