I found a box of some really old books, some we had to read in school and others, I didn't realized I still had them. Some are faded and look old, but still readable. Like the Jackal, is an old edition, but readable. Can they still be posted? Some are Harold Robins' books, Mark Twain, The Great Escape, Ivanhoe, The House of Seven Gables, Murder, Inc., Silas Marner, some JFK books, that's just some of them. Someone let me know, please. You can post here or PM me. Thanks.......Jeanne |

As I understand it, as long as the are in readable condition, they can still be posted. If they are missing pages or it is torn then no. But just because it's old is no reason not to post it. |

As long as they meet posting guidelines it doesn't matter that the books are old. Not sure what you mean when you say they are faded. Spines can fade because they are exposed to light, etc when books are on shelves. If you can, post a pic. You'll get lots of opinions. |

If they meet PBS posting guidelines than post them. Yellowing is allowed. Still readable, does not mean postable. |

Do check them to be sure pages aren't close to falling out, but as long as they meet the posting guidelines, old is fine. |

CAN OLD FADED BOOKS STILL BE POSTED Some of the book pages have turned a little yellow from age, some the covers & binding are a little worn. It's just like how time passes and the books are not so new looking, but have that old look to them. I wouldn't put the really worn ones on. But just not sure of the others. Hope that helps. I didn't want to put them on if that was a problem. Some, I know I probably will take and donate. And Thanks for the responses. I will go back and check the Posting Guidelines !!!!!!

Jeanne, some people may actually want the ones you plan to donate. Make a list of them and offer 1 with each order from your shelf if you want in the book bazaar. |
