I received a book on CD, and the holder is broken into pieces. 

The CDs appear fine, so I'm okay with it, as long as I can trade it when I am done. 

I'm just wondering your opinions as to whether you'd accept a book on CD with a ruined case.

The original case isn't required when posting an audiobook.  So you cannot mark it RWP.  If you require the case/box then you need to have an RC asking for one.

What Mary said -- and you'll have no trouble reposting it later, since cases are not required.

Just buy a new jewel case for the CD.  But, when you ship it, make sure to reinforce the case with cardboard to cushion the case from possible damage by the PO.

I'd be annoyed but, as long as the CD is playable, you can't mark it RWAP.
