Entertaining adventure story that continues the lives of characters in the White Rhino Hotel. Dwarf bartender in the White Rhino Hotel now owns a riverboat bar/restaurant/gambling den, etc. in Cairo. Gypsy-raised Anton Rider who leads safaris for a living, is estranged from his family. His wife, in training to become a doctor, works with other volunteers to administer to Ethiopian civilians attacked by the Italian Army at the start of WWII. Jungle cats, crocodiles, elephants, and other hazards abound. Fast paced, this series reminds me of Wilbur Smith's tales.
