Hi, I have a couple of Caldecotts (Medal & Honor) on my shelf...check them out.

I also have two kids poetry books - Laugh-eteria by Douglas Florian (pb) and Kids Pick the Funniest Poems - selected by Bruce Lansky (hardcover) - it contains poems by Shel Silverstein, Jack Prelutsky and many others - both books contain b/w illustrations for most if not all of the poems - great for classroom read-alouds

I also have lots of preschool - first grade workbooks (3 for 1), readers, and old textbooks used in my M.Ed courses

I just thought I would mention, on the topic of great teacher's books, that you have

on your shelf. Here is a great lesson plan using that wonderful book, including several crafts, activities, ect, to choose from:
