This duo book starts out a really terrific series. I read this series twenty years ago in college and loved it so much. I recently re-read it without all the distractions of studying and partying that a college student deals with. I still loved it!

2 very good stories. I am not really into western romances but this one was very good! Could not put it down.

Loved these. I read 2 of the Calder Series before I realized how many book there were in the series in all. I read 8 & 9 in the series I think before I decided to go all the way back to the beginning. So I ordered the whole series and started reading from the 1st book. It was exciting to go back to the beginning of the Calder family and read how it all began. I am now almost ready to start on book 4 and I have loved every one of them so far. Can't wait to finish one and move on the the next. I will miss them when I finish the series. You get caught up in the lives of the characters, their hardships, joys and just how different life was when the West was new and being discovered. The contrast in how we live now and how life was back then, the laws they lived by and how simple, but very hard life was, the conditions they lived in.........well to me it's just amazing and I love this series and will truly miss them when I am finished .
