Free Kindle ebook at Amazon>>>>Calibre - the E-Book Tool - First Steps, Tips & Tricks I've stumbled along for several years using Calibre and finally here's a guide that's been created! I haven't read it yet but I'm looking forward to learning about all the neat things that I've probably been missing. I don't have a Kindle nor do I want to sit and read it from my computer. I opened the PC Kindle app on my computer and downloaded the ebook to my PC. I then added the book to my Calibre library and converted it to ePub and PDF. I just finished printing it out and now have a hardcopy which I can read and highlight and I've also put it on my Nook!

This is great Jeanette! I'm like you - been feeling my way around and making it work somehow. Looking forward to converting this to my NOOK! |

I've downloaded it too, but do remember that the reviewer says that the harder subjects in the book still just point to the on-line Caliber documentation. For the easier stuff, I think it'll be a help. But for the harder subject, we'll all still have to go on-line and look things up. And Calibre gets updated a lot. So I don't know how long the ebook will be useful. You can always ask things here, and at MobileRead, though. I find searching the web site less than helpful, unfortunatly. |

Dear Author has a good article on customizing Calibre. I added a column to sort by books I've read (or not) based on their directions. All of DA's eBook articles are indexed in a separate tab.
