I have a boxed set that is apparently heavily wishlisted.  I know that if I post the actual boxed set, it is only worth one credit, so I'd rather post the books individually, thought I'd really like to send it all out as a set with the box.  However, if I post WL'd books individually to my shelf, they will go to separate people who have those books wish listed.  The only way I can think of to get around this would be to advertise in the BB that I have the boxed set, and offer to post all three books to someone's wish list.  Is this OK to do?  Or would this be considered "cheating" the WL system?  I don't want to break any rules, but I know a lot of people want this set.  Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Lesley;   yes, you can post books to someone's Wish List.   I don't blame you for wanting credits for each book and that is exactly what I would do.  Good luck and Happy New Year!

Yep, entirely acceptable, and a great idea!

Thanks June.   I should have been more clear- I know it's ok to post *a* book to someone's wish list, I just wasn't sure if it's ok to post 3 at a time.  If it's ok to do that, then that's what I'll do- thanks!

yup, definitely ok to do.  I can understand wanting 3 credits for the set but since you can't ask for more than 1 per book, best to offer it in the bazaar and post to their WL

This is ok to do as long as each book as it's own ISBN#.  I had 2 books in a series recently.  I've been spending so much on postage lately that I really wanted to send them out together.  I posted in book bazaar and found someone almost immediately that had both on their WL. Yes it's bucking the FIFO system but oh well.  My postage costs have been nutso since I joined.  I have so many unread books already that I'm trying not to order many right now.  Just make sure you post them from their WL page and not the book description page.

Here's another thought I was wondering about... I have a boxed set also, but it's only 2 books.  I was thinking of posting the first (with fewer people wishing), then just PM the requestor and/or check their wishlist to see if they want the 2nd.  If they do not, I'm committed to listing the 2nd book separately then, but there are only 3 people requesting the first and 5 requesting the 2nd, so I fear those individuals might not be bazaar users.  :)  Is this ok, bypassing the bazaar?  I will send the books separately if I have to, but I hate to do that it's a really nice box with matching mock leather on the books/box!

Patricia: I've done the same thing with series books although they weren't a boxed set.  If I'm reading a series that has more than one book WL. I'll wait until I'm done reading it and then post the 1st one.  Then I check that persons WL and more often than not they have other books from the series also on their WL.  They get the series quicker and I get to save some postage $.
