I understand that PBS give us an hour after ordering a book before that book request actually goes to the member.   What I'm wondering about is (and does this work this way for everyone?)....why would I instantly (after ordering a book) receive a message telling me that the book request has been accepted into the system.  And why (on the few times) when I've cancelled the order within that 1-hour time frame the book shows up in my transaction record.  It wasn't a transaction and I supposedly had an hour to change my mind.

Just wondering about it.  And wondering if it's just my account or if others have noticed this as well.

I've seen it my transaction archives both ways--when I was the one who ordered and cancelled and when someone else has ordered something from me and then cancelled before it even shows up as a request on my main page.

Not sure why it shows up in the transaction archive--just seems to cause confusion.  In fact, when I ordered a book and then cancelled within 15 minutes (realized I already had the book I ordered and had meant to order the next one in the series) I got a message several weeks later asking me if I'd received the book yet.  I responded that I hadn't actually ordered the book.  When the sender checked further she realized that it wasn't actually me that she had sent the book to, but since it showed up in her transaction archive it had confused her.

Once the request is in the system and cancelled it is a transaction and will show in your TA. The only transactions that do not show there are one's that are denied due to RCs. Cancelling is an activity that moves a transaction to the TA regardless of when it happens. Just because the request isn't shown to the sender during the buyer's remorse doesn't mean the transaction wasn't initiated by the system, it just means its hidden from the sender.

When you request the book, it is accepted into the PBS system.  The email is not stating that the sender has accepted it.  After your 1 hour remorse period, the system will then send the request to the sender to accept.

Good luck.
