Search - Cape Storm (Weather Warden, Bk 8)

Many series begin to weaken after awhile and I get the sense that the author continues because the fans demand it, or just for the money but somehow the characters and/or plot just seem to run out of steam. I opened Cape Storm (Book 8) fearing disappointment but Rachel Caine's Cape Storm still delivers and I am eagerly awaiting book nine.

Ms. Caine its time to end this series, its gotten stale & BORING!!! Halfway through I stopped because I couldn't remember what I've read ~ not a good sign.

Cape Storm was OK. Joanne has to deal with a Demon mark and helping the Wardens and Djinn fight Bad Bob. Throughout most the story, she's struggling to maintain her morality and it's a constant fight. Things don't go quite as planned and there was one scene of extreme emotional intensity. Things wrapped up in the usual Caine manner. My fascination with Joanne and company has come to an end, unfortunately. I'll probably read the next in the series, but honestly, I wish the author would wrap it up already.

Love this series!
