This is not a Romance. It is an historical account of Anne Bonny and Mary Reads lives. It has sex, violence and gore.
I found it to be a riveting story of what these two women would go through to have the freedom they so desired.
It did not romanticize piracy but answered some questions I had about the subject.
The author has written Non-Fiction on pirates.
I would rate it R for violence and sex.
