She writes about television and celebrities for Fancast.com, the beauty/spa industry for Day Spa magazine, and writes a love advice column for the marijuana magazine, THC Expo.

She is single and lives in Los Angeles. She separated from her Grammy Award-winning husband, Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails, Gnarls Barkley, Marilyn Manson) September 2009 and officially divorced on March 17, 2010.

Borzillo has been an entertainment journalist since age 17 when she wrote about unknown rock bands for free music magazines in her home state of Connecticut. She got her first big break at age 19 when she was asked to profile the Black Crowes for the rocker’s then favorite magazine, Hit Parader. In the 20 years to follow, she has held prestigious positions at a variety of music and entertainment magazines, most recently at People and E!.

With a Bachelor Degree in Journalism from Southern Connecticut State University in hand, at age 21, the go-getter landed a job at Billboard as a radio columnist before quickly moving up to Heatseekers Features Editor where she covered up-and-coming acts.

During the first dotcom craze of the mid ‘90s, she served as Managing Editor/News for the daily music news website, allstarnews.com, which was part of CDNOW.com. There, she also penned the music news gossip column Miss Truth. The New York Times called her column, “Liz Smith for Generation Y,” and she was named one of the most influenced people in the music industry by BAM Magazine in 1998 for her breaking news website, allstarnews.com (1996—2002).

As a music expert, she has appeared on Good Morning America, CNN, MSNBC, E!, VH1 and other television outlets. She was also one of the subjects of the 2009 E! True Hollywood Story on Rock Wives. As a sex and relationship expert, she has appeared on KROQ's "Love Line" with Dr. Drew, Playboy Radio, XM Radio's "SexDotCom," MSNBC's "The Frisky," and others.

The Connecticut native has also penned music articles and news items for Rolling Stone, Spin, Entertainment Weekly, and others. But, one of her favorite gigs was her stint as Dr. Love for Gene Simmons’ short-lived glossy monthly, Tongue. She dispersed love and sex advice for every issue of the magazine. She also penned the sex/love advice column "Miss Truth Hurts" for SuicideGirls.com.

Borzillo is author of four books: Eyewitness Nirvana: The Day-by-Day Chronicle (Carlton Books, 2000), Cherry Bomb: The Ultimate Guide to Becoming a Better Flirt, a Tougher Chick, and Hotter Girlfriend, and to Living Life Like a Rock Star (Simon & Schuster's Simon Spotlight Entertainment, 2009), Kurt Cobain: The Nirvana Years (Carlton, 2003), and Tera Patrick: Sinner Takes All: A Memoir of Love and Porn (Gotham/Penguin 2010).

Her most notable work to date is the book Cherry Bomb, where she included quotes from many notable female icons on becoming a better flirt, a tougher chick, and a hotter girlfriend--and to live life like a rock star.
