I have gotten the first 3 books of this series and am having trouble starting them!!!  Can anyone tell me why???  Is this a good series, or is my "female intuition" finally letting me know not to waste my time??  I need some input please......................

I have all the available series but haven't started them yet. They sound pretty good.

I loved them.  Not as good as Patricia Briggs but good.  It's certainly not romance either...so if your thing is paranormal romance, it might not be for you.

i enjoy the series.  i'd say give it a try, but if you don't like the first one, you probably won't like the rest of them.

I was wondering the same thing. I had book 1 on TBR pile for ages, didn't start it and came acrooss book 3 at a FOL sale. It was a bargain, so I picked it up but in the end decided to pass them both on without reading them.

Yesterday, I found books 1 and 3 at a thrift store, so I figured I'm probably meant to at least try this series .....

I avoided them for the longest time... the titles really turned me off. Then, I finally read the first one and loved it!!! Her books drew me in for three reasons: 1) the writing is excellent; 2) I love the conflict Kitty has between being a "safe pup" and being her own person/wolf; 3) the humor of her talk show bits always gets me, and I find myself reading those parts aloud to my family. :) I hope you give them a try. ~Lorien

Well it seems that most of you girls really think I should read them, so I will.

Just finished reading:   Merc and Her Men by Elizabeth Lapthorne

Re-reading an old favorite:  To Die For by Linda Howard

I read one of them, don't remember which, and it was good. I should probably put the others on my wish list. I do seem to remember some romance, but was there sex? I skip over those parts anyway. Am I the only one that does that?

I haven't read these yet.  I have them on my TBR..but I'm currently reading a total of about 6 series and I hate to add another one in.  When I finish off a series maybe I'll start these...haven't decided yet.  I have a bunch of series sitting in wait for me to pick them up.

As for reading the sex scenes...they don't bother me.  I love a good sex scene every now and then :)

I love the Kitty books!  They're a hoot!  Fast reads too -- I'd say give'em a shot.  :)

As for the sex question, they aren't sex free, but romance isn't the foremost element of the plot so sex scenes tend to be shorter rather than longer.  Romantic tension -- yes.  50 explicit ways to love your lover -- no.  (Not that I mind the latter, but these books just don't need it, you know?)

You really need to read Kitty in order.  Don't skip.  She grows a lot in the series.  I really like Kitty as she isn't this super strong kick ass.  She starts out as a very young woman who was attacked.  And she takes back her sense of self and her own power.  No destiny or super powers.

I'd say Kitty is a reluctant herione at best and does grow with each book.  And they are not romance books.

Ok, I read the blurb for I think the 6th one....and I had a question. I have only read the first but there is a character that I was wondering about. If anyone has read all the books and can answer a question for me, can you pm me or let me know here?

I actually enjoyed the first book and I'm waiting for the second to arrive.  Stopped at Borders the other week and picked up the rest :-)  The series I thought I'd like was the Rachel Vincent "Stray".  I couldn't even finish it.

I've read every Kitty book and am eagerly awaiting the next 2 coming out next year. I think they are great. They are on my keeper shelf.
