I did some fill in work today as a caregiver and because the lunch sitatuion was rather up in the air I loaded up a larger purse I have with a water bottle in the side pocket, a sandwich in a Tupperware sandwich keeper, and threw in a little box of raisins and a rice krispie bar (all that I could find around the house that was quick and easy). What a life saver that was. My client insisted on buying me a diet coke and I accepted so as to not hurt her feelings. My day was just so much easier (cheaper too) with food in my purse LOL. And now in calculating my "profit" I had no expenses since this gig was just down the street (I walked) and we used their family car. It wasn't the easiest day I've ever had but I feel good that it wasn't costly. Sometimes in the caregiving business you get stuck with odd lunch time arrangements so this was perfect. Everyone else involved ordered hamburgers and fries which just is not in my budget or in my health plan right now due to my little squabble with cholesterol.

I like bringing my lunch to work. I get tired of restuarant food. I'd rather save my eating out pennies and go out for a nice dinner with good food and atmosphere! |
