First in a series. Starts out slow, but gets better. Rest of the series is really great.

The first of the Sarah Deane/Alex MacKenzie mystery series. A group of birdwatchers travels to a Texas bird refuge for research. When one of them ends up dead, it hits very close to Sarah and she and Dr. MacKenzie help to find the killer. Good read and very good series for cozy lovers.
