The authors work the premise well; the idea that, like dogs, some Christians live to serve their masters, and, like cats, some live to serve themselves. They find illustrations of this everywhere, including the seat next to yours. A well written, if not particularly deep, book that will leave you feeling convicted in more than one place.

There'a a joke about cats & dogs that conveys their differences perfectly -
A dog says, "You pet me, you fed me, you shelter me, you love me, you must be God."
A cat sayd,"You pet me, you fed me, you shelter me, you love me,I must be God."
These God-given traits of cats ("You exist to serve me") and dogs ("I exist to serve you") are often similar to the theological attitudes we have in our view of God & our relationship to Him. Using differences between cats & dogs in alight-handed manner, the authors compel us tochallenge our thinking in deep & profound ways. This book will give you a new perspective & vision for God as you delight in the God who delights in you....

Wow, wow, wow. This book is eye opening. If you want a fresh perspective on God and how you fit in his picture, this is a great book. I actually buy copies of this to give away occasionally. Its that good. There is a home school curriculum that goes along with it that I haven't seen. Recommended for seasoned Christians, new Christians, agnostics and atheists!
