I have seen a ton of those mystery books about the cat, but what exactly are they about.  They are by Lillian Jackson Braun and all of the titles involve a cat.  My grandma has read every single one and loves them, but really what are they about?

They're about a guy in a small town who has two Siamese cats who help him solve mysteries. They're very cozy reads, very light reading. I haven't read one in many years, but I seem to remember being able to finish them in just a couple of hours. The early ones are definitely better, I believe the author is now in her 80's and the quality of the books had gone downhill with the last few I read. But if you're looking for a quick, feel-good story, these fit the bill, especially if you read a few and get to 'know' the characters in them.

This is one of my favorite series to read (and re-read over and over).  They are very light reads with no real violence in them, the characters are interesting and the area where it is set is very different from most mysteries.  The main character starts out as a reporter in a large city and ends up adopting two siamese cats and moves to a small town.

How odd!  I just posted a thread to find any BOXERS who have these books.  I want to begin re-reading them b/c I enjoyed them so much.

Since I'm a "cat person"(I have 2!), and have had several siamese cats over the years, I LOVE them!
