Back of book: Bertie Wooster and his valet, Jeeves, join the racing set and are embroiled once again in a scheme of Bertie's redoubtable Aunt Dahlia. Two race-horses, Simla and Potato Chip, are favorites in the upcoming contest at Bridmouth-on-Sea - and, of course, Aunt Dahlia is betting. Now, it seems that Potato Chip has fallen in love with a cat that sleeps in his stall. Potato Chip becomes quite listless if the cat is missing - so of course Aunt Dahlia wants her ever-suffering nephew Bertie to make that cat missing.

I Say: Add to this plotromance going wrong, old friends who make better enemies, Jeeves inevitable brilliance at getting Bertie and friends into hot water. This plot, while as complicated as Mulligatawny Soup, is handled deftly by that wonderful author P. G. Wodehouse. Hilarious, rambunctious, not to be missed.
