A young bride, away from her California home for the first time, is reading the Tennessee Times as she adjusts to her new life.
She is glancing through the classifieds and the pet section curiously POPS out! She keeps reading, even though
her husband (the one with severe pet allergies) had just, out of newlywed love for her, bought her a new puppy whom she loves to pieces, and still needs much time and training. BUT, I guess it doesn't hurt to just look, does it?

On page 27 her heart is tugged by a picture of an 8 month old orange tabby, named for Morris (I wonder who the genius was that came up that creative name?) and by noon she is on the road (just to take a look, mind you) with her husband's blessing,a map and the checkbook. The adoption fee is $34. He could live with that - if this cat is a real winner... You know what they say,"Happy Wife, Happy Life."

Turns out, Morris the kitty is a very sick big cat/kitty. That's why no had adopted him. Nasty, nasty runny nose, icky eyes and all. Well, obviously this was a divine appointment in the bride's mind... She pays the $34 bucks and is back on the road to find the recommended vet.

$157 "Vet Bucks" later,(plus, a stop at Pet World to buy accessories for a cat that will most likely be dead by sunset) Morris, the half dead cat and bride are headed home. On the way, she calls Mom to get some tips. You see, she's got some 'splainin' to do...

Last update, Morris was resting comfortably, curled up on Hubby's lap. This mom's heart is bursting with pride; I taught her well...

You sure did teach her well! There's just something wonderful about pet lovers, isn't there!?! Thanks for sharing - you write well.

The "hubby" probably loves the cat to pieces. :)
