Do you remember the "Spenser for Hire" TV show? This is the author of the series or at least where the ideas for the TV series originated. It is a fast paced book with lots of action. Spenser and his partner, Hawk, are the main characters and try to find their friend, Susan who appears to be kidnapped.

A mystery of extraordinary excitement and power. Still love the irrepressible spenser, the ssiest, funniest, most enjoyable to read about private eye around today.
