All that Alton Benjamin "Rooster" Franklin wants is to stay out of trouble. Getting to know his thirteen-year-old daughter is trouble enough. When main squeeze Carolyn meets up with family problems--in the shape of a stolen car--she drags Rooster along for--what else?--help. With his record, the last thing he needs is another crime caper. A guest at the hot-shot pitcher's sumptuous Kansas City home, Rooster finds himself surrounded by a house full of suspects--including himself. And then the second body is found....
