I was really looking forward to reading this book when I heard about it and I was quite disappointed. I really though that it dragged and I couldn't wait for it to end. The story felt like it really didn't go anywhere. Just not my cup of tea I guess..

The main character really had heart but spent the vast majority of the novel whining instead of making all the moves that made you root for her in the beginning. Altogether an okay pool or beach read. A lot of fluff!

I thought this was a great book. The characters were really funny. Gives you a look into a different side of celebrities and what goes on behind the scenes during Oscar week. Fast read.

It took me a little while to get into this book and there were a few times I thought I'd give up on it. I didn't think I was going to like Lola at first either.
I'm so glad I stuck with the book! I was completely wrong about Lola- she was funny, endearing and would clearly go to the ends of the earth for her friend.
The stories involving the over the top celebrity behavior were hilarious!
I hope to see more from these authors.

The first time I picked up this book I read the first page and put it back on the book shelf. That was months ago. Then 3 days ago I picked it up again and couldn't put it down. The second time around I was just so sucked into it. The stress, the franticly running around for something you you love and your friends you believe it. The fashion, the shoes, the red carpet. I loved it all.

The first few pages of this book read a bit like fanfiction. The main character seemed completely self-obsessed and narcissitic, which I suppose could be expected from a book about Hollywood royalty. But as the story progressed, I came to find the character to be more complex than I had initially given her credit for. The book is a fun "beach read." It isn't too deep, but it is entertaining.
