Sent by a meddling boss on a suprise vacation to Australia, our heroine finds herself facing her three biggest fears--water, planes, and boats. Mandy is a woman most of us can relate to. She won't hide from her fears. Sutter is a man that has a hard time understanding her at first. But being a diplomat, he has learned to study people, and by studying Mandy he learns that there is more to her than her sharp wit and amber eyes. What he finds, he doesn't want to admit to himself. Beside a few big goofs on the scuba diving sequences, this was a great fast read. Want to get away for a day? Pick up this book and go to Australia with Mandy and Sutter.

Excellent tender, sensuous story of love & courage on a tiny Australia island near the Great Barrier Reef. Very well written.

If you ever had any doubts about reading a Lowell novel, they will be **ahem** "put to bed" with this one. We could all only wish to be loved as much as Lowell gives us hope for.

I take her lessons and add it to my life any way I am able to. This book taught me that love is understanding and patient and kind. This book will have you sucked in from start to finish as you battle with Mandy and Sutter, as you cry with her and get angry at him, and of course smile at the end.

Take the time to read this one, you won't be disappointed at all - I'd (almost) bet a credit on it ;)

A classic early Elizabeth Lowell. Very light and easy to read, which suited my mood at that moment.

Damon Sutter had set out to explore the Great Barrier Reef. Instead, his dreams of adventure took an unexpected twist with mandy Blythe's arrival.. Their association was supposed to be strictly business: yet she was too smart and independent to suit him. But avoiding her was difficult and watching her had become better than any dream.

Thouh Mandy had been tricked into going to Australia, she'd never been fooled by Sutter. He was a womanizer who had left a string of broken hearts across several continents, making him the last man she had expected to fall for. Bur the tropics created a different world and paradise was only a heartbeat away.

Pretty good. 251 pages. Funny

I read this one again and again. Fast, fun read with delicious sex scenes. Little melodramatic, but not as bad on that point as some of Lowell's books can be.
