This is a multi-author miniseries. [KNIGHTS OF THE BLACK ROSE] book 1 - THE CHAMPTION by Suzanne Barclay
book 2 THE ROGUE by Ana Seymour
book 3 THE CONQUEROR by Shari Anton
This is a fine example of what made Suzanne Barclay one of the favorite medieval authors. The characters are real and their problems touch the heart. She had a style that was uniquely hers.

First in a trilogy about a group of knights returning home from the Crusades, where they formed bonds of friendship with each other---good adventure and sweet romance.
2nd is The Rogue and 3rd is The Conqueror

This book is part of a series concerning several knights. I have three of the books and enjoyed the way that the authors tied the books together. It is not neccessary to read all three.
