This is my first book written by Robert B. Parker, I look forward to more. I was unable to figure out who did the killings to the end. Lost of things happening and kept you guessing. So many great characters. Starts out looking for a missing husbands and his connections to the Boston Mafia. Enjoyed the dialog and all the facts of the case.

The search for a Mafia princess's errant spouse. A gangland truf war. You have everything in this book from larceny to homicide. Is it really the husband at stake or the control of gangland? This book is based in Las Vegas. Book is hardback and comes with jacket. Book is in excellent condition. Not from a smoke free enviroment however books are kept in a closet on shelves they do not smell of smoke according to a non-smoker that I have asked.

I enjoy the P.I.Spenser novels. Easy reading and great for an afternoon read while sitting under a tree.

My first Spenser book. I guess, like Harry Bosch and Stephanie Plum, he has to go to Las Vegas sooner or later. Like any good he-man author, Parker considers a sense of place important when telling a story, so I was able to find many of the establishments (Ambrosia, Starlite/Christys) he mentioned on GoogleEarth, whether he used their real names or not.
