Hi all, I noticed tonight that the images on my bookshelf are up and running again as they used to. The site did a great job with this. My question is, while scrolling through my PBS bookshelf, I noticed that a few of my books have a red "W". It's like the red "W" on the TBR pile listing. Does anyone know what this means? Perhaps that someone is wishing for the book and an order will be placed with me? Or...is it just that the book is wished by someone and will be ordered someday? ETA: The little box to the right of the book listing does not have the grey circle with the Exclamation point in it.

Do you have your Bookshelf display set to All Books? If so, it includes your TBR list and the same books would have Ws on both lists. |

No. The only books on my bookshelf are books that are posted and ready to be requested by other members. My TBR books are an entirely different list. I also did a search on the books with the "W" and noticed that the first book that shows up is from my shelf with an option to mail to a friend. I know it's my book because it has my personal sticky note on it.

Okay, I mentioned this in another post in this forum. "New Image Server Now In Place" Jo L answered my question. If you hover over the W there is an explanation of why it's there. Check it out - really cool.

I didn't realize this was a new feature, I've always seen it on my bookshelf. The red W means it's on someone else's WL, a green W alongside a somwhat smaller green A means someone else has it on their WL and it's on auto-request. |

Interesting. All my Ws are on my TBR list, so I haven't seen this. Thanks!

I noticed yesterday that there's one book on my TBR that has a dimmer red W. The hover text for that one says "This book is on another member's Wish List but the member does not currently have the balances to auto-request it. The book will be offered to the member if s/he is not on vacation." So that's kind of a cool new thing. |

Cathy, I also have one like that on my TBR but note that the red W is a paler shade than the others where the member who's wishing does have the credits. |

Interesting....... the faded red W's are on books that previous had solid red W's on my lists. |

I noticed that the pale red Ws are all on books with only 1 or no copies posted and some had 1 or even no wishers (according to the book data screen). Those books I consider to be 'on the brink' of WL and when they're posted often sit on my shelf for a day or so if there's no WL but they're usually ordered fairly quickly, WL or not. |
