Can you change a rating after you have left it?  I got a HB novel, looked OK to me from the outside, so I rated it Rec'd in Good Condition.  Two days later, I went to read it, opened the cover and it almost fell off the book.  If this is just a lesson to be learned for me to check more carefully, that's fine.  But if there is a way to change the rating, I'd like to.

Unfortunately, you can't change that rating.  Once marked received in good condition, that's how it stays.  Sorry :(

Nope, once its been marked received without a problem there is no way to go back and change it. You can go into your Transaction Archive and PM from the details page there letting the sender know about the problem you found and that it was unpostable, that way the information is tied to the transaction,  but you can't change how it was marked.

You definitely want to open books and look at them before marking them received. You could be receiving books that are missing pages, have writing in them, or have stains or tears. We want to trust members are only sending postable books, but that's not always the case.

Ditto what Melanie said.  If you decide to send a PM to the sender, be sure to send it through the details page of the transaction.  Even though it was marked as received in good condition, if a problem develops with this sender, the Team will see the PM.
