Wasn't there a lot of flurry recently about some planned changes to the wishlist?  What has ahppened to those ideas?  Have the founders decided to stick with our current system?

I think you're in the minority.  Most of us don't want the wish list changed.

The word from TPTB (the powers that be) is that it is coming, but no one knows when.  Yes, it is all due to programming and them prioritizing where their focus should be.  And I honestly think that the reason people don't want the new change is cuz they don't know what they will be getting.  All things are simply speculation at this point of how it will work and what will be done (unless you use SADVD and have seen it first hand, but I still think it will be different with books....we have a TON more books in the system than there are DVD's...) and for people to get all up in arms about something we don't even have in hand is not fair to the founders.  Give them (and it, the WL) a chance...they really truly only do things to the site that they feel would benefit the club as a whole and are not trying to make people mad.  We need to be patient and let things come as they may.  When it happens, I really think most members will be pleased with how quickly they are able to get books compared to now.

Just MHO.

I love the current system, but am willing to give the new system a try. I've heard from other members that no one is exactly sure when it will be happening. I have noticed that the monthly newsletters don't mention it anymore though.

I could have really used the new WL this past few months. I've had my shelf on hold because I needed to stop the WL offers.   I ended up taking most of the books from my shelf to the UBS store because I have a cross country move and I don't want to move a bunch of books I've already read. It would have been nice to just put my WL on hold and maybe send out a few more books.

Guess I'll join those of you who are in the minority but I've been patiently waiting for the change to occur.  I read the details and it appeals to me.  I understand all may not like it but I'd like to give it a chance.  I do like the ideal of putting my wish list on hold or certain parts of it but keeping my bookshelf active.

yes, I REALLY REALLY would like to be able to put my WL on Hold and keep my Bookshelf available....that is one of the features of the new system that I am majorly looking forward too.
