A Passionate Historical saga by Claire Lorrimer...

Willow was only seventeen when she married Rowell and became the chatelaine of Rochford Manor. Her happiness seemed complete, but gradually disillusion set in as Rowell proved to be cruel, unfaithful and greedy. Although bitterly disappointed with her life, Willow maintained her beauty and dignity as the years passed. In this engrossing saga of conflict and passion she eventually found love with a man who represented everything that her husband was not.

A large sweeping saga of historical fiction, in the tradition of Woman of Substance. This is the first book in a trilogy of the Rochford family. It takes place in England, France and America. The book is well written, hard to put down, and highly recommended if you like these types of stories.
