http://www.bookdepository.com/ They offer free worldwide shipping, and have really competitive prices. Another source to buy new books; I got excited when I looked through their prices. :D |

There are some books there I won't mind getting and the prices aren't bad when you consider what some sites charge for shipping. I booked marked the site and will go back when I get some money! Thanks Rosie! |

I ordered some books from them today. They were cheeper at The Book Depository then they were on Amazon. One of the books was almost three dollars cheeper than Amazon plus free shipping. We will how fast the books ship. The email confirmation said that most books ship within 48 hours.

I might given them a whirl. The trade paperbacks are almost a wash, but most of the mass market paperbacks are a good buy. Thanks for posting the site addy. Last Edited on: 7/31/09 10:48 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Another bonus is that they will have UK authors available that might not be available here in the US. They have a new one coming out by Jude Morgan - http://www.bookdepository.com/book/9780755339006/The-Taste-of-Sorrow in tradeback (I think) that is more than 50% off. I don't know if you have read anything by him, but I absolutely loved Indiscretion: http://www.amazon.com/Indiscretion-Novel-Jude-Morgan/dp/0312374372/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1249105979&sr=1-1 It's modeled in the style of Jane Austen, very well written, clever, and sweet. It takes longer for his books to come here to the US as he's a UK author. He's written a lot more historical fiction based on historical figures lately though, and those always depress me a little. This new one is about the Bronte sisters, so you know it's not going to turn out all the well. But check out Indiscretion if you enjoyed Pride and Prejudice. |
