I have only been a member of PPS a few months and everything has been wonderful up till now. A person checked one of my books as the wrong book, when it was the correct book sent. I did not even receive a PM from them just from PPS telling the problem. I pmed the person and asked what the problem was as I know within all my heart that the right book was shipped. They pmed me back and said that it was the right book, just one they had already read and didn't realize it until they received it. Why would someone check this as the wrong book when they book they requested was sent? This seems like their problem not one that should be blamed on me!! I know that I still receive credit for the book, but I hope this does not look bad on my part. I enjoy using this site and plan to continue swapping books, but this situation makes me wonder!

Maybe they hit it by accident? I would PM PBS and let them know what happened.  So you don't have the mark against you.  Although 1 isn't likely to cause any problems.  I would be annoyed too.  I'd probably PM the person who made the mistake and ask them to contact PBS and tell them they made a mistake.  It's not your fault they ordered the wrong book-you sent what they ordered.

What is so wrong, is that they pmed me back and told me they checked that it was the wrong book because they have already read it. I have asked them to correct it and they said no, that they do not want that book and it was the wrong book to them! This really makes me mad to know that they checked the box on purpose and they know what they are doing!!

They probably dont understand that when they replied about the book they received it isnt a place to put a personal note, but rather feedback that does go on your record. I too would not like it, but one issue will not affect your good standing here at PBS. If you still feel like it should be addresses to R&R you can copy and paste the other members message to you in a message to them by clicking on the Help Center tab and choosing "Contact the PBS Team". You may want to send another message to the recieving member advising them that feedback is recorded, and not a place for them to make notes to themselves.

Lydia...send in feedback to R&R. Click on the contact us button at the bottom of any page and then copy and paste the PM that she sent to you. They'll take care of it for you. They need to be made aware of the reason she marked it RWAP. That is NOT a valid reason for doing so.   You fulfilled your end of the bargain. Just becuase they made a mistake and ordered something that they've already ready does not mean you should be "penalized".  ( And Cheryl is right  - one incident won't affect your PBS standing - but being noted as such when it isnt' true is frustrating)

This needs to be reported to PBS because they just cannot do that.  Keep the PMs and contact PBS. They can look at the PMs and see what this person did.  This will help remove the mark from your record and also alert them to this person marking books as wrong when they aren't.  PBS will probably send them a notice that they can't do that.

Someone did more or less the same thing to me.  She kept insisting she didn't want Large Print although that is exactly what she ordered.  She was also on a tear about it being a paperback as well.  I really don't think you, as a sender, get a credit back if the book is marked as a wrong book or a book with a problem by the requestor.

If the book is marked received w/a problem the requestor doesn't get a credit back unless the sender agrees to give them one back.  So you don't have to worry about them taking a credit from you.  They might do that if you had a bunch of complaints against you and they had to close your account.  But not for one complaint like this. I would report it because this person cannot make a habit of making false complaints.

Ok, that's just WRONG!!  Yes, please copy the pm's and send to R&R...maybe this can be nipped in the bud.

I have ordered books that I discovered after the fact i either have them, had them or have already read it.  I eat the credit and repost it.

How strange.  If you get what you ordered, how is that wrong?  Definitely report that and let R&R straighten that situation out with the member.
