This is a breathtaking, page-turner psychological thriller from the masterful pen of Robert Cormier. Take a ride that never ends and experience fear, betrayal, and intrigue. Tightly written and skillfully pieced to keep you from putting the book down from the minute you pick it up. Truly a favorite of mine.

I had read this book when I was yound and think of it often. I could remember that there was a really good twist at the end but I couldn't remember what the details were. So I read it again, and went DOI! when I got to the end. Again.

Well. I admit the ending was a surprise. It's a bit unnerving, frightening even. This was well written, and I didn't even realize it was a "teen" book until I finished it and read the information about the author. This is a psychological puzzler, and a bit of a mystery. I enjoyed it.
