For some reason, I’d really hoped this one was going to be funnier than it actually was. I don’t know why I thought that... If I’d actually seen any of Chelsea Handler’s television show, I sure don’t think I would have thought that, but something about the way I saw “blonde” and “smiling” and “brash” on the cover and I was interested enough in giving it a shot. Thank goodness for used books.
I read this one aloud to my wife over the course of a few weeks as we lazed in bed together. She enjoyed it a lot more than I did. This is a collection of essays, as might be expected, of Chelsea’s various exploits. The sad thing is, her exploits basically tell the stories of a spoiled rich woman who has people to take care of her if it’s needed. I never felt connected to her humor at all --- she lives in a world far removed from mine.
2 of 5 stars.

Very funny book! I didn't really have high hopes for this due to the fact that I generally dislike her tv show. Some of the stories were not my type of humor, but most of them had me laughing out loud. I liked it enough that I may seek out her other books.
