The Child Abuse Industry is a book about the "business" of state custody of America's children. A lot is said about how our social workers take kids away from their parents, sometimes , for valid reasons, but usually for things like unfounded statements of accusations, rumors, vengeful "hotline" reports, and the like. It is scary to think about the power that our states can have over the family, and this book brings such issues to light.

While this book is true, accurate and informative, it's now (2021) 35 years old. Sad to say, the Chid Abuse Industry has not gotten any better. Lies, misinformation and delays are par for the course, even in 2021.
