Apparently when you team one of the modern masters of fantasy fiction with one of the young up and coming punks, you get magic. Child of an Ancient City is one of the best novels ever written, and I'm not a fan of fantasy fiction.
A charming, and light tale a la Arabian Nights about a contest with a vampire- who can tell the saddest tale? Very enjoyable!
