I've had bad luck lately with the last few books that I've selected to read. While I really enjoyed Lelic's debut effort, A Thousand Cuts, this one was impossible to get through. I couldn't get past the writing style and could have cared less about any of the characters. I'll wait until the next one before I pass judgment on whether or not Lelic is an author I want to continue reading. This one completely missed the mark for me.
