Hi, I have 4 hardback children's Animal books that are from the series"I WONDER" books. They are written for pre-school to 8 or 9 year olds, although I did find them a little informative, myself. They have been edited by curators at museums. (See description on my bookshelf). Each book has numerous examples and colorful, interesting illustrations of the animal family of it's focus. The books are a good introduction for beginner learners of animals and animal families. It is also is good basic reference. There are also curious and fun facts given for each animal. For early readers, the writing is interesting and simple to understand. I WONDER How Parrots Can Talk and other neat facts about birds :: Mary Packard & Robin Brickman I WONDER Why Skunks Are So Smelly and other neat facts about mammals :: Deborah De Ford I WONDER If Dragons Are Real and other neat facts about reptiles and amphibians :: Annabelle Donati All about reptiles and amphibians. I Wonder What a Rainforest Is: And Other Neat Facts About Plants (I Wonder Series) All about plants
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Thanks for looking,
Elona
