Had not read any of Ross Thomas's work until this one. The intro by William Heffernan really set the stage. Loved the characters and found the book fast paced and fun. Very much like an old detective drama without the detectives.

If you like Elmore Leonard and Donald Westlake, you'll like Ross Thomas. If you haven't read his books, you're in for a treat. Quite entertaining and amusing crime caper with many twists.
