Maybe I just don't get satire--if that is what this was--but I didn't like any single character in this book nor did I really care what happened to any of them.
I don't even know how to review this. First let me say I couldn't stand this mother. She was a nightmare. I never once fell sorry for her. Bettina's antics were shocking at times considering her age, yet she was simply a product of her environment. I felt badly for her often.
