With his usual skill and charm Thomas B. Costain has written a detailed and personalized account of how Alexander Graham Bell made his great invention.
Mr. Costain describes how the idea came to Bell -- the difficulties he had securing a patent; the first dramatic and conclusive test with wires set up; the immediate results of that experiement.
Constain was raised in teh cit where this occured and has thus been able to bring a good eal of new information to his account of the invention of the telephone. Interesting and entertaining reading, Makes history fun!
