Chris Carter doesn't put out as many books as Patterson but yet I think he is the better writer, he writes his own books and is very consistent  with his Robert Hunter series, stays right on target throughout the book--The Caller is his latest and it is hard to put down and when you're done you wish for more!

On the other hand Patterson has so many co-writers that a lot of his series are losing ground because they don't hold my interest like they used to do, I tried a couple of his 'bookshots' and I don't care for them so I won't be spending my money on those, the purpose is to get people back to reading by starting with a short story, I'm already an addicted reader so I don't need the short story.

I keep trying new authors but I'm picky so it's a good thing when I find one to stick with, Carter just doesn't put them out very quick so you have to wait a long time between Robert Hunter books
