Hello Brothers and Sisters!

I don’t have the organizational or technological skill to reward you for this reading endeavor, but I will encourage it.  I know God will reward everyone for any good thing they do, including the effort to read some Christian living books.  Here is my list of categories that I encourage you to study:

Prayer:  Read 3 books about prayer.  There are tons of great ones!  I have seen big jumps in my prayer life simply by learning more about prayer.

Fasting:  Read a book that focuses on the practice of living a fasted lifestyle.  Fasting has led me to new breakthrough with the Lord when I really felt stuck. 

Finances:  Read a book that teaches a Biblical approach to money.

Worship:  Read a book that is focused on learning about the art, value, and power of worship. 

Warfare:  Read a book that dives into the spiritual warfare between God and the demonic kingdom of Satan.

Marriage/Family/Dating:  Depending on your stage of life read a book that is appropriate to give counsel in your family relationships.

• My hope is that we will all be encouraged by our readings and share with each other the wonderful truth God teaches us here.    

Wow, Brandon...I am very convicted by your challenge/encouragement!  I invest a lot of time and money in reading CF and I know it helps me spiritually in a lot of ways, but not like some of the non-fiction you are suggesting would.  I have found from time to time that I enjoy reading half a chapter or so of a non-fiction book for my daily quiet time.  So maybe I'll take you up on your challenge and do it that way!  Thanks for being bold enough to put this out there.

Also wanted you to know that we have a Christian Friends chat thread on the Games Forum, where several of us keep in touch, discuss our lives and struggles, pray for and encourage each other. We'd love to have you join us.  A man's perspective would be helpful sometimes!
