My daughter wants to give a friend at work a Christan romance book for Christmas.  The friend is not a Christian. What book would your recommend and why? Also I am looking for a posted book not a WL one.

Lori Wick has some really good ones. They are touching and not corny. Really good writing! None of hers, except her newest, should be WL'ed. Another good one is Cathy Hake. They are historical but I enjoy them. Robin Lee Hatcher and Catherine Palmer are others that are good. Not sure exactly what you are looking for but one of those should fit the bill.

Something by Karen Kingsbury might be a good choice.

Oh for a non-Christian!

I would suggest - either

Denise Hunter or Kristen Billerbeck!

Both write fun, cute sweet modern, romances. That are not to "in your face" and are usually about non believers or a believer who has stepped away.

Both writeres are very good!

I just checked and there are no good ones by K. Billerbeck but there are by Denise Hunter!

I've read "A Convenient Groom" and it was great!

I own "Surrender Bay" but have not read it yet.

Jane Peart; Orphan Train West Series is highly recomended by my teenage daughter, each character goes through different trials and has a different piece of scripture that help them through the trail.

The series include: Ivy and Allison, Toddy, Kit, and Laurel.

Summerside Press has two different series of books I enjoy:  all romances.........

One is the Love Finds You in series........each book takes place in a different town/state, some towns are fictional, some real.  Some books more historical, some more today.......Ex:  Love Finds You in Holiday, Florida,  Love Finds You in Valentine, NE.......the list goes on and on.......

The second series which is newer (I've only obtained and read one of them so far) are the When I Fell in Love Series.......I recently read I'll Be Home for Christmas.......Another choice is Love Me Tender........I don't remember the others off hand but each book is titled with an oldies love song.............

You can check the website for Summerside Press to get a comprehensive list of them........
